Congrats to the Arizona Cardinals on winning the 2008 NFC West!

Yep.

Without the right coach, today never would have happened. It's not that another person couldn't possibly have achieved success with the Cardinals, but that Whisenhunt DID IT!

Props to the HC, all coaches, Michael Bidwill, Bill Bidwill, Rod Graves, all the players and the entire Cardinals organization!

Congrats, Whiz! I loved the look on his face towards the end (shown on the jumbotron). He kinda wanted to smile, but was holding back and had that "can't believe we did it" look, LoL!

Buy this man a beer too. He turned Lyle Sendlein into a starting center and Reggie Wells and Mike Gandy into an overachieving left side. He also brought some toughness to the O

Congrats to everyone.

Michael B, Whiz, Grimm, all the coaches, all the players, all the fans, and anyone I missed.

Good stuff!

Hats off to Whis.

Using a lot of talent inherited from Denny Green, he has helped mold this team into a solid group of playoff-bound Cardinals.

From being smart enough to realize a smash-mouth Steeler approach wouldn't work and developing the passing offense into one of the very best in the league to playing the players who give the team the best chance of winning, Ken Whisenhunt deserves a ton of credit for this division win.

(It also helps that the team has largely escaped the season-ending injuries that devastated the Seahawks.);)

Let me just say something to both of those qualifiers. We have had those type of good fortunes before and done nothing about it.

This time we did.

I am a self proclaimed Wisenhunt disciple. Thank you coach.

Portland Oregon these days.
People -- and football teams -- make their own luck.

At the beginning of the season, we had one of the toughest schedules, based upon last year's winning percentages and not even considering the sheer number of across-the-continent games we played (including a Thanksgiving day game in Philly AFTER playing the Super Bowl champions three days before).

As far as injuries are concerned, maybe some of it has to do with the strength and conditioning.

Yes, we had some lucky breaks and a few weak opponents. We also had some crazy challenges. The Arizona Cardinals earned this win.

Whis is working on getting himself a statue in AZ. He's only a couple of Super Bowls away.

Seriously though...the guy has come in here and done more than any other "name" coach has. And the good thing is...he's still learning how to be a head coach himself.

I truly thought I wouldn't see the day. Whiz you had a great part of bringing people who can help us, drafting well and getting the coaches who can teach.
Thanks very, very much.

It's a proud day to be a Cardinals fan!

P.S. What is the day of our first playoff game? Is it the 4th?
