What can i say....:notworthy

There are just too many of you to thank in person so hope this thread will cover it. The effort put in to the meet up on Saturday (and the other nights) and everyone who made it was just fantastic (not just me) but there were tons of you who hade made such an effort to get there, it was just bloody great. I have now seen the clip online and just need to get someone to airbrush the double chin and belly out and it too would be perfect.

The tailgate was fanstatic, thanks to Nick and Linda (it also gave me the chance to meet a few of the guys from ASFN....Abomb donald etc). The game itself needs no comment in itself other than to say i cried and felt a bit of a tool...then noticed everyone around me was doing the same. The stadium, noise, fans were just amazing.

I didnt make my round of golf on Monday (I managed to lose the phone numbers i took with me, possibly in the bag i had with my flag in it....which is now in Las Vegas with lvgentleman) but thanks for the invite Birdman, hope just i didnt mess up your plans mate.

Thanks again to WildBB (Bill) for getting me the ticket and coming to the team store to drop it off when i called you. Great seats...i have also just noticed the I make yet another internet showing on the AZCentral site here http://oldwww.azcentral.com/flash/panos/cardsnfc/pano2.php which show the veiw from the seat i was next to.

Now that Republic article..i wasnt expecting that when i picked up the paper to read about the game next to the pool, i thought just a couple of lines from when i spoke to the reporter at half time.....didnt stop me buying 3 copies of it 10 minutes later .

Only down side of the whole trip was not getting to meet everyone and getting round to more tailgates to see you (I had plenty of invites)....it took me long enough to find DCR's that i thought staying in one place was the best bet .....that and the phillie cheese sarnies and without doubt the strongest 'fruit' i have ever had in a punch.....sorry Cardinals Koolaid.

You guys are credit not only to the Cards and this board but your whole country, I really mean that. I simply could not have dont this without you and it really was one of the best things i have done in my life. A shame Mrs English could not have made i there too, but we will be back (although I think i will make it regular season so i can plan it in months not days though :) ).

Thank you all again for making me feel so welcome. Oh and.....

........SUPER BOWL BABY!!!!

and also jet lag sucks :bigyawn:

Oh and question for anyone that met up with English OT, does he speak the queen's english or the hard northern version of english.

Playing rugby I have had a couple guys from across the pond stop by and play with our team for a while.

Southern British people and Northern British people sound like they are from two different countries.

I played with a kid from way up north England for 4 or 5 games, and helped him get around. My wife said this to me one day "Honey, uh, someone left a message for you on the answering machine but I have NO IDEA what he was saying" LOL. Think Brad Pitt's character in Snatch but for real.

Never have met a British man I didn't enjoy having a beer with.

Glad to hear you had a great time and experience English OT. Hope you come back to the states again!

It was truly our pleasure to meet you. If you are ever in town again, I hope that you look us up.

When I say that this place is like a family, I mean it. It really is.

Great to talk to you Sunday night.

You are more than welcome...it's always nice to share gameday experiences with cards fans, and it's not often we can share with someone who came from so far away with the sole purpose of helping to will our team to the Super Bowl. You are a class act, Ben.

(and glad you enjoyed the fruit!)

Hmmm.... I heard his clip on ABC News and definitely sounds like a Scotsman to me! :)

We had ablast on Saturday night after the meet was over. We went over to Margaritaville (sp) inside westgate. Gamebird98, English, some of my family and friends, and closed it down. Funniest thing was English said that gamebird98 was like a "dog in heat". With his accent it just cracked me up, I couldn't stop laughing.
