If Josh hadn't signed with the Lions, they might have drafted a QB in the first round, and we might not have gotten Matt Leinart. Of course, with Matt Millen making the picks they probably would have selected Cuttler. But thanks to Josh just the same.

That was just him paying us back for losing us the #1 pick in 2004.

Matt Millen = Isiah Thomas of the NFL
Larry Fitzgerald, SanDiego can have that pick. Not sure why people hold resentment over that pick.

The Cardinals sure got the better end of things, Leinhart and Edgerrin James versus McCown and Sims. I would be pretty upset if I was a Lions fan. And it is good the Cardinals didnt waste any money on Collins prior to the draft. That told me they were seriously thinking quarterback.

The Lions have officially displaced the Cardinals as the laughingstock of the NFL. (though Houston may be giving them a run for their money... passing on Bush... stupid!).

Until we start putting W's on the board, we are still the worst NFL franchise. That being said, I haven't been this excited about the Cardinals since their days in St. Louis.

We are not, nor were we the worse NFL franchise. Detroit indeed holds that dubious distinction. Since 2002 no team has lost more games than the Lions.

Take it back three years ago...Josh throws the sensational game winning TD to Nathan Poole...thus eliminating the Cardinals from the Eli Manning sweepstakes...

Interesting question: Would the Cardinals be better off right now with Manning at QB and no Larry Fitzgerald?

OR

Are they now better off with Leinart as the QBOF with Larry Fitzgerald playing at a Pro Bowl level?

They are better off now! Eli Manning today wouldnt play better than Leinart IMO. He just didnt play around the same caliber talent or prototypical pro offense in college like Leinart. HE is still majorly adjusting.

He is still rediculously inaccurate at a mere 51% completions.

I dont tthink Leianart will ever see below 55% even as a rook. JMHO though.

I wouldn't laugh too hard at McCown. I look for him to have a good season.

Unfortunately you are correct. All looks rosy now. We have to prove it on the field. I do have some good vibrations however.

Where would we have picked if mccown didn't fumble on the goal line against the colts? What was our SOS vs. St Louis's SOS.

If McCown holds onto that ball, we may not get leinart. That one play could change the direction of the team for the next 7-8 years.

Josh is a stand up guy and is developing into a decent QB in this league. Everyone knew that he was extremely raw coming into the league. He now has 22 starts under the belt, thats less than a season and a half.

I wish Josh well, except for one Sunday in Arizona this coming season!

Well, Harry, I usually respect your opinion, but I have to disagree on this one. I feel pretty confident laughing. McCown isn't even a sure thing to start. I for one don't expect a good season out of him.

Put me down in the official "Josh will never be a quality starter" column.

At first I thought, 'All right, which one of us will have to miss half the game going to get the drink', but I forgot, we have a new stadium :D

I say Kitna beats him out in camp, barring injury, and the only way McCown sees the field during the season is if Kitna gets hurt or turns into a Tommy Maddox. A cold beverage on it (assuming I can make it out)?

Josh McCown is getting to Jake Plummer status around here.
