Better quality link below. That was easily the best goal I have ever witnessed in a game I have actually attended, and one of the best goals all year. No offense to Crosby, Phaneuf, Lundqvist, and the others, but if Ovechkin does not win the Calder trophy as rookie of the year, something is seriously wrong with the voting. At age 20 he is already one of the most dynamic players in the league. It is so rare to see that combination of size, toughness, and skill on both sides of the ice. The guy is such a well rounded player; scoring, passing, hitting, he can do it all. There is little doubt he will be one of the top 5 players in the entire league in just a few years.

I saw it in person. There was a penalty being called so I think the Coyotes felt they took him down and the play was over. Anyways, it was the 6th goal in a 6-1 loss so that game was pretty much over.
