That team is looking like they did before everyone got hurt and that is not good.

Now that almost every regular is back with teh exception of Danny B that team is playing like crap again. With a manager that like to play the hit hand why would he mess with what we had in all the young guys until those core of players actually fails. Schilling and Johnson I understand, but everyone else could wait it out while rehabbing.

That is true to a point.

The kids have stopped hitting. Kata and Cintron have looked somewhat bumfuzzled in the last few games and the advanced scouting on the D-backs has been outstanding. The Giant positioning in the field against us has been brilliant. I've noted a minimum of 6 instances where Giant players were positioned exactly where D-back players hit grounders and on two occasions Barry Bonds fielded two Counsel soft liners without moving. Our kids are seeing the pitching adjustments they have not seen in AAA. They are getting a steady diet of unhittable off speed stuff on the black. Spivey's first ball swinging after the players were specifically told to exercise patience is a sign of either stupidity or flat ass defiance. This team looks lethargic and flat and someone (Brenly) needs to throw some things around the clubhouse. A blockbuster deal may be needed to get some jolt in this lineup. Great pitching does not do jack if you can't score. (see Dodgers).

That hairball (HACK---pop out) of Junior's had me screaming so loud the dog hid. Where was that kid's BRAIN?? Well, same for several of them. Whenever they start whacking away like "I am the only one who can get anything done" team batting goes cold.

They do have that flatness creeping in - and to me, that was the real difference the 'babybacks' brought. So I suggest we clear some guys - send down Hammock and Kata to work on adjustments, maybe put Alex on the DL for his wrist, maybe Lyle, Q could get a hangnail -whatever- and bring up 3 or 4 new kids. Tracy, DeVore, Gordon, Bell, who haven't been scouted, will be ecstatic to be here, and bring back the energy and spark. (just kidding - well, half-kidding;) )

I'd rather have a scrappy team than a grinding team, and I hate Brenly's constant use of the word "grinding." Sets a drab, worn mental tone.

Totally agree

Maybe people are getting smug. I wouldn't hesitate trying something like that.
