Oh, they won the series already? Wow, I didn't realize that winning your first two games means the series is over. Oh wait. It doesn't. It means you held home court. Like you were supposed to do. Now Boston gets to go home for two games.

This comes back to Miami 2-2. Boston in 6 or 7. Hinges on Game 5. Miami won't win a game in Boston.

Miami held court...whoopie. Hand them a title.

no one's handing them a title, but if you think this geriatric boston team has any shot in this series, you're just as delusional as you were back in March or october when you thought there was no way the Heat would get to the ECF... or that ORLANDO would somehow be a threat.

Matchups, Geese. Orlando and Miami matchup well. I think they split their season series (not sure, both teams bore me so I didn't watch those games).

Orlando has a team that could NOT reach the ECF themselves, but would be an ideal candidate to knock Miami out of the running.

The Geriatric Celts were tied with 6 minutes left in Miami and their primping and preening inducing crowd, so I'm not particularly buying the idea that they are totally outclassed.

They also were old and busted when they barely held off the Knicks at home, then promptly stomped the crap out of them in NY afterwards. The Celtics are a playoff basketball team - if they can get even in the series, like they should, they will thrive while the Heat will wither. Game 5 is going to be fun.

funny how all the Heat haters have seemed to disappear.

Donald... "the Heat won't even make it to the Conference Finals"... "not cocky. realistic".

Just as laughable now as it was when you made those comments.

Wait, another Sunsfan likes the Heat?

Wait, another Sunsfan likes the Heat?

why does just talking basketball and acknowledging that the Heat are good and rubbing Laker-fans heatred and ridiculous prognostications back in their faces automatically make one a Heat fan?

I'm an admitted Laker hater and watching those fans bitch and moan and joke about how bad the Heat were during parts of the season is pretty damn funny to look back at now that the Heat have become a force to be reckoned with.

not everything's black and white Mulli.

You like them. Just admit it. Whether you like them because LBJ is cute or you like them because you hate the Lakers. You like them.

what is Atlanta except an incredibly poor man's version of the Heat? Jamal Crawford = broke man's Wade, Joe Johnson = poor man's LeBron, Bosh = Josh Smith. I'm not sure you can really argue this point without looking anymore like the fool you already look like.

The Geriatric Celts were tied with 6 minutes left in Miami and their primping and preening inducing crowd, so I'm not particularly buying the idea that they are totally outclassed.

yeah, it was tied... and then the Heat blew them off the court with a 14-0 run. When a team has 15 point leads in back to back 4th quarters, call me crazy, but me thinks you're handling that team pretty well.

They also were old and busted when they barely held off the Knicks at home, then promptly stomped the crap out of them in NY afterwards.

yeah... they beat the Knicks without Billups or a healthy Amare... and they're the freaking Knicks. The fact that ANY game in that series was in doubt casts very large aspersions on this Celtics team.

The Celtics are a playoff basketball team - if they can get even in the series, like they should, they will thrive while the Heat will wither. Game 5 is going to be fun.

I just don't see it. The Celtics WERE a playoff basketball, but they'e just too old and not big enough anymore to matter.

actually, i don't. I just like that they drive Laker fans CRAZY. Think about this... they've driven Laker fans to root for... THE CELTICS. If that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what does.

I've actually been surprised at how boring they are. that i agree with Donald on. no way a team with those three guys should be a relative snooze-fest to watch save 2 or 3 incredible plays a game.

I get tired of having to put smile face on all my posts. I wasn't serious.

I'll never root for the Celtics.

I'm part Irish but I still refuse to wear any green resembling the Celtics' colors.

I'm not "rooting" for the Celtics. I just don't place much trust in Miami. I'd love for a meteor to hit the building those two teams are playing in, and only Wade escapes.

It's a win win for me - The Celtics either win and get bounced by someone else in the playoffs because they can't win a title but derail Miami's autochampionship they think they've already one, or Miami is better than I think and beats the Celtics back to the stone age where none of their fans will care about them for another 15 years like last time around.

I think you are confusing my non-infatuation and refusal to drink Heat koolaid as liking the Celtics.

There are scenarios where I do want the Celtics to win, though. If I thought the Lakers were going to make the Finals (they aren't) there is NOTHING better in my mind than having Boston meet them there to get their faces kicked in. I want the Celtics to make the Finals every year, and then to lose miserably to the Lakers every single time. I guess you can call it rooting for them, though the ultimate desire is to inflict as much pyschological pain on that team and their fans as possible, and I think that comes from losing to the Lakers rather than being bounced from the playoffs early.

I was wrong.

Looks like its Miami vs Memphis in the Finals :)

Looks like all the Laker fans are freaking out but I wouldn't be just yet. Dallas is a pantheon level choke team and its not like winning in Dallas is impossible.

But the Celtics.......Wrap them up! Its always about the players in the NBA and no one has any 2 better then the Miami Heat.

Celtics are dead IMO but Lakers still have a flicker of life.

Or at least I hope so. Lakers vs Heat would be epic.

Excuse the sophomoric reference but it ain't Kool Aid you are drinking....its Haterade. From my understanding, you are drinking "Kool Aid" when you see things positive that arent there.

Haterade is when you refuse to see whats happening in front of your eyes.

Been saying it all season long. By playoffs, Miami will be the team to beat in the East.

And if the Lakers can't beat that clown outfit in Dallas.....then no one's beating them.

I am guessing even if the Heat win the Ship in their first year, there will be some sort of disclaimer then too?

Not freaking at all here although nearly every Suns fan I know has asked me "Are you scared? Ha ha!"

Hoping to have the last laugh. We sort of already do because it is May and we're still relevant.

We are less than a year removed from beating the freaking CELTICS in a game 7 for the title. As Laker fans, we have a perpetual giggle that doesn't go away.

So we don't win a chip this year. We'll polish our 16 other rocks and wait. Big whoop.

Bush dislocated both elbows before game. Lebron dislocated his heart.

BTW - for all the talk of Lakers fans wanting to see the Heat lose - I am a Lakers fan that wants to see them win this series. I could never root for the Celtics in any game or hope that they'd win any series. I do enjoy seeing the Heat struggle but if the result means Pierce, Garnett, and Ray getting close to another title shot - forget about it.

BTW.. I am so glad my Heat are playing (and beating) a quality team in the Celtics.. Getting the feel for real playoff basketball that will help later on.. Not like the Mavs who played the weak ass lakers..
