ONE GAME!! And he had at least one triple double with us, so let's not all go overboard and anoint him as the guy who got away.

Still more than we ever got from Harrison or Canaan.

The Kings are the worst team in the NBA as far as being completely dysfunctional and able to ruin players simply by drafting them. I feel for Bagley and De'Aaron Fox, they don't deserve to be there for Vlade and their terrible owner who traded Cousins for Buddy Hield. The Kings are lucky he Cousins got hurt, if he didn't then he probably stays in New Orleans and that looks like the worst trade ever. Instead he signs with the closest team in proximity to Sacramento in the Warriors for a cheap deal to win a title, whether he returns or not.

The Kings right now are the worst defensive team I think I've ever seen. I assume it's just youth because I don't think Joerger is that bad of a coach but it's downright scary. Look at teh plus minus for their bench in the first game, Bagley in 12 minutes -14, Harry Giles somehow was -23 in 10 minutes. Shumpert was -29 in only 18 minutes. The starters were all plus, the backups were all very badly negative. No secret why they lost but even with 4 young guys and Shumpert it's alarming how bad their bench was. For the game the Jazz shot 52% overall and 48 from 3. sacramento is starting 3 guards including Yogi Ferrell, but with Cauley Stein and Fox I would think their defense will be somewhat decent but they've just been awful all preseason too.

I knew Bagley was going to have trouble guarding in the NBA but apparently he's REALLY having trouble, so is Giles, admittedly he's had an injury plagued career up to now but you wonder if kids are going to start looking at how guys from Duke come into the NBA unable to play defense and consider maybe going somewhere else? Duke might have the first 3 picks in the draft this year it'll be interesting to see how they develop when they get to the NBA because other than Tatum, most of the high Duke picks in recent years have come in and been just awful defenders.

Lonzo is barely getting any playing time and is invisible out there. His daddy is going to start running his mouth. This could get interesting.

Welcome to Western Conference LeBron!

It's one game but the Lakers' lack of 3 point shooting and rebounding was glaring. Ball had one assist.

Jared Dudley got 35 minutes tonight.

1 point, 0-5, 0-4 3pt, 1-2 from the line, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 fouls.

I think Duds might just want to hang em up.
He should have retired at halftime. ;)

I cannot believe people are lamenting the loss of Elfrid.

He sucks, he super sucked for us, he sucked more than anyone sucked on our suck team of suck last year. AND to keep him we would probably have needed to offer him the QO, which means we don't have Ariza... and instead we have Elfrid Payton... who sucks, super sucks.

A triple double from an empty stat clown is not impressive. In a month if he isn't murdering the Pels like he did us and the Magic... then I might say "he might merely regular suck" and I still won't think we should have offered him the QO.

Phrazbit can you tell us how you really feel? Do you like Elfrid or not.

The Lakers got off to a crazy good start against Portland like showtime is back.

I was pleased to see the Trail Blazers win the game not that I like the Blazers one bit.

The Lakers rebuilt on the quick. LeBron's age will make a difference sometime soon.

Lebron is a super athlete. I suspect his game will only erode slowly over time. He might still be going 10 years from now but at a lesser capacity. I think his fall back position will be power forward which he plays some now.

One major injury is all it takes. LeBron has never had one. Averages catch up at some point.

I guess I'm not counting it and I do not wish an injury on anyone. I'm hoping the Lakers implode with some of their crazy moves.

I am not wishing it, but I am expecting it, especially if LeBron has to expend super human effort to carry the Lakers. Magic has assembled a throw back team, not geared for the three point shooting of the modern nba.

This appears to be what Magic is doing with the Lakers. Somehow I wish the Suns could get their hands on Kuzma.

Payton sucked with the Suns last year, no argument here. But this year on NO is the first year where he'll have competent team around him. I think he'll be somewhat inconsistent but still be a positive for the Pelicans at the end of the year.

Payton played like he did not want to be on the Suns team. Don't know what happened, but that is the fact. He is more skilled than that. I think Payton, mentally, is a problem. He is a bit of a head case--even without the hair.

Talk about scheduling a loss. Back to back on the road the first two nights of a new season? Rough.
I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. Dragic struggled from the field, still had 6 boards and 8 assists and the Heat won the game.
