I recall most of the names but can't remember how badly they were playing as a team.

Gotta think 2000 wins the game but I'm not putting any money on the line.

I think 2000 team loses. Jake was a disaster.

Agreed.

The question would be if the 2018 team could capitalize on all the 1/2 half turnovers, and get a big enough lead for when Plummer started his 2nd half comeback, and the 2018 team would start to choke away the lead.

The 215
Pittman would run roughshod over this team. He was no all star, but we struggle with runners capable of getting to that second level.

Surrounded by Rams and Chargers
We had better linebackers and receivers back in 2000. The trenches were slightly weaker. The coaches were about the same, talked a good speech but were completely unprepared and had no idea how to game plan.

I do wonder if the Cards went with a coach who could win the press conference rather than games...This is a fascinating topic. If you ever watch Belichick interviews you know how frustrating those can be, but no team is ever better prepared than the Patriots.

Sean McVay was named the youngest coach in NFL history but is an absolute freak when it comes to the X’s and O’s of offensive play calling.

I think organizations can be wooed by a coaches “persona” and ability to command a room rather than valuing a coach with a strong philosophy and strategy for creating a winning culture...
