NO CHANCE
Former Vikings receiver Cris Carter, who played with Green for many years, was blunt this week talking to Sports Illustrated about the job facing Green in Arizona.

"Ever see a jackass win the Kentucky Derby?" Carter told the magazine. "Ain’t gonna happen. Same thing here. Denny hasn’t got the horses."

Many former players think they are so smart. Add Carter's name to list of idiots.

Chandler AZ.
I thought it

was pretty small of him. He could have used a different tone or flavor.

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion. That is exactly what Carter has, an opinion. If this guy knew everything he'd be laying bets in Vegas and winning millions.....Then he would take out ads proclaiming to give a sure lock on certain football games and collecting even more millions. Hey, there is a reason Carter is an analyist, it's because he hasn't got any money and really needs a job. But hey, that is just my opinion.

I guess Carter has not paid much attn. to this years draft. Sure the cards don't have the horses yet. Can they have them by the time the new stadium opens? I think they can. Another good draft and a good FA whos to say the cards cannot have the horses to win. Will the ownership and the fans be patient enough?

If he was referring to the Cardinals winning the Super Bowl this year, maybe I agree, but turning the franchise into a winner -- many more horses to come.

Yeah, but he's right. We don't have the horses. We need linemen badly, and we need a stud RB. We have neither. Carter's a punk, no doubt, and I personally can't stand ANY of the guys on Inside the NFL (except Costas), but I hate to say he's right...we don't have the horses to really do something special. We do have the coach that will keep us in games and give us a chance to win, however.

Both the series and movie "Jackass" did very well.

I bet Steve-o could have toughened up even Tom Knight, lets bring him in.

I guess he can say that......with winning all those SuperBowl rings and all.

Good post.

I've never liked Carter - he's all about himself. Another receiver would make a terrific catch and he'd gripe that he didn't get it thrown to him. Then he'd make a first down catch in a game where they had a 2-TD lead and he'd almost break his arm just patting himself on the back, as if it was a SB play.

:notworthy

And Cris Carter, another jackass, put up good receiving numbers during his career.

Maybe we should embrace this name? :D
