A team with a bad quarterback who is inconsistent.

Although the Bears were thoroughly dominated in the game, they only lost by 12 points.

(Sorry, it had to be said.)

Even thought DG will be a fool for all time for that tirade and he tried to back out of the comments afterwards, he was essentially right. A great defense, decent running game, totally suspect QB. They were beatable. We should have beat them. Proof that the the NFC just wasn't very good this year that they went so far.

Grossman for MVP (for the colts).

That could have been a great, great team if not for Grossman. Start Griese all year and you're looking at a 14-2 regular season and a SuperBowl champion, IMO.

Start a lot of people and they'd have been a great team. Hell, start Trent Dilfer and they'd be much improved.

Doubt it, Griese isn't much better. The 2nd string QB is always better until he plays for awhile The D gave up some big plays, too. Colts won this game, persistent and precise.

Great team? The Bears? You've got to be joking. Except for Urlacher, that was the sorriest team I've ever seen in a Super Bowl. Even the defense sucked.

The final score did not reflect the utter ineptitude of the entire Bears team.

Maybe if we beat the Bears, they wind up making a change at QB and win this game against the Colts.

Yep. Even the defense was overrated the last few weeks of the season. For all the blowouts that have happened in the Super Bowl, that ranks up there as one of the most lopsided performances ever. Only the kick return gave the illusion of a close game. Even after the kickoff TD, I never felt like the Colts would lose.

I think it should have been the two RB's for Indianopolis sharing the MVP.

But the Least Valuable Player? Definitely Grossman.

Spotted 7 points in the beginning, got lucky on a rare Vinatieri miss and then 1 more when they could have put in the FG but there was no need.

Bears got stomped. Their D did play well once the Colts got into FG range, though. But not a very good game.

It is tough for a defensive player to win the MVP, but Bob Sanders would deserve consideration. Caused a fumble, made many stops in the hole, and Sealed the deal with the final interception.

Hester still made Ginn's stock rise somewhat...

Agree. Peyton was the sentimental choice. but he did deserve it with his big plays, conversions and audibles, so he wasn't underserving in the least.

Agreed, I was leaning Addai, but the Colts running game grinded the vaunted Bears defense to a pulp. Rhodes had an excellent game, and hit every hole hard, running straight north-south every time. I remember people comparing this Bears defense to the Tampa Bay and Ravens defenses, along with the 85 Bears. The Colts could have easily scored 50 points in this game, and with better weather would have finished off more drives.

All the people here who want Briggs...still want him? I said before, he is a poor tackler and he showed as much today.

This Bears defense can tackle well but some games they seem to forget all about wrapping up, bringin down and taking good angles.

Tackles for loss 8
Forced Fumbles 4
Ints 2
INT yards 18

Yeah lets avoid him at all costs and franchise Orlando Huff instead :sarcasm:

And therein lies the problem, and the utter flaw in all the Ginn man love. People aren't sold that Ginn is going to be that good...they're sold in the IDEA that Ginn will be that good. He's not, but people believe he is.
