I would take the 01' Lakers at full health. I think even the 91-92' Bulls were just as good as 96' just with different personnel.

Yeah that 01 Lakers team was filthy. If Allen Iverson doesn't go beast mode in game 1 of the NBA finals.....the Lakers would've gone 16-0 during their playoff run.IIRC

There is no way the 06-07 Suns team is better than the 92 team. People for some reason think that team was a failure because they lost in the finals, they only lost to Jordan and the bulls, who were undefeated in every finals they were ever in.

The 92 team was a complete team, that played excellent defense and rebounded the ball. They would have physically dominated the 7orLess Suns in a playoff series like every other well rounded team eventually did to that squad.

I was just thinking the same thing. That team was so good, so deep, and so complete! If I remember correctly, they were the best offensive team, and probably one of the top 5 or 10 teams defensively.

KJ/ Majerle, Ceballos, Barkley, West was a scary lineup, but they also has Chambers, Dumas, and Ainge, Miller off the bench, along with a few others.
KJ would torch Nash much like Parker did, and what Barkley would do to Amare would be even worse. They would also shut down SSOL teams defensively better than the Spurs did, and they would flat-out beat them up. Imagine West, Barkley, and Chambers taking turns on Amare, and KJ, Majerle, Ainge and even Ceballos beating up Nash. That team was TOUGH!

Its a silly system that does not put weight on meaningful games. That 06-07 team being rated higher than any other isn't based on their overall season, its up there based on where they were at their peak in that season... which according to that dumb formula came in January after a win over Cleveland that put them at 36-8. That was the highest moment in franchise history... supposedly. I'd think it would be our demolition of the Sonics in game 7 back in 93, but hey, what does that matter when you beat the Cavs in January.

To better illustrate the lack of perspective this formula has, the brightest moment in league history came not when the Bulls completed their historic title run in their 72-10 season... but a few games earlier, when they won game 3. THAT was their peak.

Where is the eyeroll emoji when I need it?
