Mark Wahlberg tells MTV that Paramount is targeting a summer start for The Brazilian Job, the anticipated follow-up to 2003's The Italian Job, which earned $175.8 million worldwide. F. Gary Gray is expected to direct again and David Twohy is writing the script.

"A lot of people really liked ['The Italian Job'], and a lot of movie sequels don't live up to the original, so we want to make it as good, or better; and we're all patient," Wahlberg said. "Charlize [Theron] and everybody is in, so we're just waiting for the right script. Hopefully, I think, probably around summertime we're gonna film it."

Earlier this year it was reported that the sequel would be filmed in Rio de Janeiro. The first film's team also included Jason Statham, Seth Green and Mos Def.

I had a brazillian job, once. I can't give you an update, though. Gentlemen don't speak of such things.

I really liked the Italian Job...but much of that is because I think that Edward Norton is such a great actor.

Obviously he wouldn't be in the second one.
