In the original Conan the Barbarian, Conan is hung out to die on a tree. Basil Poledouris penned a track for this scene call the Tree of Woe. In 2017 this is the tale of Phoenix sports.

The Coyotes have yet to win in 8 games and show little sign of being competitive. Not to mention their future here is in doubt

The Suns are 0-3 and much like the Coyotes, don't look very competitive, and axed Watson today.

The Cardinals have been skating on thin ice until it collapsed in London. Father time has caught up with this group.

The Dbacks made baseball fun again, but was 2017 a flash in the pan or can they sustain the success?

Even the Mercury aren't much better than a .500 team.

At least we have the Rattlers.

There has never been a point in Phoenix sports where the outlook has been so grim for sports scene. The problem is that the rebuilding "plans" don't seem to be working, if they even have one, and Phoenix is a fickle town. 2016 was bad, but there was a small sense of hope.

2004-2012ish was a good time as all of the teams made the PO's during that time. And, not just making the PO's but were title contenders.

Phoenix isn't Cleveland or Chicago and no one outside our borders really even cares, so we can't even be the butt of sports jokes.

Woe is us.

It's shaping up to be a very ugly 2017/2018 for pro sports especially if the Dbacks fall back down to earth. I don't think anyone expected the Suns or coyotes to be good, but also didn't think they'd be this bad. Silver lining for the coyotes is theyre competitive for 2.5 periods and fall apart in the back half of the third.

The Suns are absolutely atrocious, the effort on defense is laughable. Hopefully they get a coach that will ride their asses into the ground, no more yoga classes.
