Am I the only person in the country who doesn't think the refs botched that when the pass was tipped out of bounds and they went from 3.1 to 2 seconds?
The point that CBS's guys missed, despite what 50 replays, is that the ball wasn't tipped directly out of bounds. It was tipped, bounced once in the court, and then went out. Since the clock doesn't stop until the ball is out of bounds, the ref had to look to see when the ball bounced out of bounds. They were guessing .2 seconds off the clock because they apparently didn't see that the ball bounced inbounds first?
I was much more unhappy with the foul call that gave Memphis the FT's to go ahead than I was with the clock issue.
Great games last night let's hope the ones tonight are just as good.
