This movie scared the hell out of me. I've never been bothered by a horror movie until this one.

I don't know how anybody could say that was boring.

I saw people leave the theatre and not come back, you could feel the tension in the room.

I will admit that I am a tough sell when it comes to horror movies. I am always on the lookout for a good scare but I rarely find one.

In a van...down by the river.
It was okay i guess. Nothing new. Old story, old scares...i expected more.

Not creepy enough for me.

IMO it wants to be this generations "The Exorcist."

Being based on a true story seemed like too much of a hinderance to me. I grew up with "The Amityville Horror" flick which was also based on a true story...and i've seen all this before on screen as a film device.

This is a nice DVD rental IMO.

I thought "Cabin in the Woods" was far more creative, slightly scarier and even a little fun at times.

I guess what got me was that this is supposedly a true story. The fact that the same couple who exorcised the Amityville Horror home deemed this worse kinda stunned me.

If this truly happened in real life, I may have to re-examine my religion.

Isn't this a sequel to something?

Armed And Dangerous?

"Hey, Fred...I heard you lost your penis."

"Yeah, I think it's somewhere over there in the COCKTAIL weiners!"

Ah, John Candy, Eugene Levy, Robert Loggia and Meg Ryan!!!

Loosely based. One of the daughters wrote a book about it. Very much different from the movie. It went on for like ten years and they just kinda dealt with it because it wasn't that bad (compared to the movie).

Steve Railsback was awesome in that movie as the cowboy!

"Listen, I'm only gonna say this once. I'm a special officer. You have to get me to the corner of 83rd and Aviation in 10 minutes! Otherwise, two wonderful people that I know are gonna die!"

"Well, climb on in here, Slim."

Have you seen Liz & Dick? I heard Lindsay Lohans performance was terrifying.

Pretty suspenseful at times but hardly scary... I enjoyed it. Especially for a 5 dollar Tuesday.

I recently watched it. I kind of agree with Shane. While it was suspenseful at times, I wasn't scared at all.

This movie scared the hell out of me. I've never been bothered by a horror movie until this one.

Not even by the Nightmare on Elm Street films? The first 2 or 3 were the only horror films to give me full on nightmares. It didn't help that I was only 12 though.

From IMDB:
When the movie was shown in the Philippines, some cinemas had to hire Catholic priests to bless the viewers before showing it. This is due to some viewers having reported a "Negative Presence" after watching the film. The priests also provided spiritual and psychological help to the viewers.

This is why I'm always very skeptical of "true stories". People can make themselves believe anything.
