Tommy Lee Jones is set for his third big screen project as director and his second as writer. Variety reports that the Men in Black star will helm a remake of Mark Rydell's 1972 western The Cowboys.
The Cowboys, in turn based on a novel by William Dale Jennings, stars John Wayne and Bruce Dern and follows a rancher who is forced to assemble a group of novice ranch hands for a 400 mile cattle drive.
