We signed some FAs in the first week.

Anybody care to admit the total hysteria of the last few days was a little over done ?

Please. Berry (good signing), a back-up quarterback, and a fullback we didn't need.

I think you are overdosing on kool-aid. :D

Berry is great! King is great! Some people just want to keep complaining, and I find that rather sad.

Never mind that 2 of the signings are complete losers.

Oh yea we got some IMPACT players let me tell you...there is no crow being served. Truely pathetic if this is "making a splash in FA"

These threads drive me nuts. All they do is make people argue and bury the real news down the line.

The word "crow" should be banned!

I wonder if King gets a bonus for Super Bowl MVP in his contract?

As opposed to overdoses on hysteria.

I never said that this was an astounding, amazing stunning set of signing.

Conversely I've been listening to the garbage since weds that we wern't going to sign anybody. Berry was just using us and would never sign here. He certainly looks like an upgrade to me ?

I don't want King starting but it is sure nice to have vet backup this year.

They are just doing what they are supposed to do. I don't see this as a time for gloating anymore than yesterday was a time for despair. There is still work to be done.

The hysteria was over the top, but so is chest beating about these signings. I'm happy, yes. But it's with a huge measure of relief that free agency didn't turn into a total disaster.

Berry is the best signing they could have made, even better than Wistrom or Kearse (too expensive on Jevon).

I'll be utterly shocked if King makes the team. He's just terrible. If we hadn't signed him his next stop would be the CFL.

I like the Berry signing. Yea we all would have loved to have signed Jevon Kearse and Champ Bailey. We did get a good pass rushing DE in the first week and I'm happy about that. We need to sign one of the Eagle CBs now. I think we all wish that Graves would have been more aggressive in getting a CB in here while there was still some top of the line guys left, but as long as we get a good one I think we will have a good free agent period.

It might be with any other team except the Cards. We have been doing this sort of thing for to many years and you can expect us to get depressed when a team with a record like ours seemed to stand still. Good signings but we still have work to do.

We absolutely needed an experienced QB with only two QB's who have had a total of 3 starts between them. I think King will be a starter before 5 games have been played.

No, it wasn't. We got damn lucky is what we got. Rod must've been sweating his a$$ off when Berry came to town...as he and Wiley were the last of a decent group of pass-rushing DEs available, and we hadn't scheduled jack with Wiley.

Plus, we managed to fall into this...we were too deliberate and too slow to have gotten Berry...

But sign him we have, so I don't want you to take this as complaining...I'm just not going to eat crow and say Rod is the 'man' at this point. He's taken the first step to fixing the fiasco he created in FA, yes, but he hasn't quite gotten there yet. We still need CB/OL/DT help. Badly.

Pathetic statement. King stinks. The FB I am assuming is roster filler and ST help. Berry is something to feel good about.

The Cardinals need to sign Bobby Taylor and/or Troy Vincent. Now those signings would make me feel good.

To show jubilation over todays action is ridiculous. Berry is a good pickup the other two are a complete waste of money that nobody was clamoring for.

Berry makes the day a success, IMO.

I just don't even think any other teams were interested in offering King the league min, I don't know why we'd bother. Ayanbadejo was a LB at UCLA and has been on about 5 teams since 1998.

Given the logic of your arguement we might as well dump McCown now and draft a QB

No. Their approach was nothing short of ridiculous. I'd say that Berry was a decent signing, but not any where near what Eric Hicks (let alone Wistrom) would have meant. I think this team needs playmakers, while you, Rod Graves, and Mohammed Saeed Al-Sahaf (Baghdad Bob) seem to think this team is a few role players away. (From what I'm not exactly sure). We'll have to agree to disagree, but to suggest that some are eating crow over these signings is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
