Last December, when Kenyan Drake completed the Miracle In Miami — a wildly improbable kick return to beat a despised rival in the New England Patriots — there was seemingly little to threaten Adam Gase as head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Three losses and 22 days later, Gase was fired. When I think about Jason Garrett coming out of the Dallas Cowboys' uplifting 37-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, the Miracle In Miami creeps into my head because in some years, the ultimate statement about a season is only defined by what happens in January and beyond.
