Can't wait for this. This is what all the individual shows have been building toward - the superhero team called The Defenders.

Marvel's The Defenders: Daredevil and Jessica Jones Costars Confirmed

http://screenrant.com/marvel-defenders-daredevil-jessica-jones-cast-members/

The ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe continues apace; with Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Luke Cage having brought more Marvel comic book heroes to the small screen. Netflix, to be precise, is where these shows have proven to be a huge hit in the world of streaming service entertainment – owing, in part, to their gritty drama and realism, coupled with the traditional superhero escapades that make Netflix’s Marvel offerings an altogether darker and more adult affair than their cinematic MCU counterparts.

The central characters from these shows have found widespread popularity with fans, prompting Netflix to order a limited series that combines all three titular characters as well as Iron Fist, whose own series will debut on the channel in March, 2017. The Defenders is already highly anticipated, as a lot of crossovers or combined universe shows often are, but the addition of several costars from the Marvel shows is only serving to fan the flames of fandom still higher. It was recently confirmed that Simone Missick and Deborah Ann Woll will be joining The Defenders roster, reprising their roles of Misty Knight from Luke Cage and Karen Page from Daredevil, respectively. Following on from that news, it has also been confirmed that three more popular supporting cast members from Daredevil and Jessica Jones will appear in The Defenders, too.

Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth) from Daredevil, along with Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) from Jessica Jones will all crop up in the eight episode series, though the size of their roles in the show is unclear. In Daredevil, Foggy is Matt Murdock’s best friend and former law partner, though viewers will recall that in season two, Foggy went to work for Jeri, instead. Foggy is also close friends with Karen Page, Nelson and Murdock’s former secretary. Meanwhile, Jeri Hogarth has changed gender from the comic books, where the character is named Jeryn Hogarth. Jeryn is the one who brings Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Misty Knight together as Heroes for Hire, so it could well be that Moss will have quite a pivotal role in The Defenders.

The Defenders will unite to defeat the main villain of the piece, to be played by Sigourney Weaver.

Can't wait.

Damn I can't wait. Although I hope they give them a worthy villain. I mean a real excuse to get them together.

You know the weird thing? With the Iron Fist being an ensemble character kind of works for me verses carrying his own show.

Ha ha, I thought the same thing when I saw the trailer. Seems like his acting is better in it. Look forward to see this one. When I first saw the trailer on a commercial, I thought for sure it was going to be a movie. Was excited to see it on Netflix with 8 episodes!

It was good, not great. I'd rank it behind all of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the 1st half of Luke Cage, but it was good. Too slow a start for an 8-episode season, IMO.

First episode was slow with no real connection except for Foggy being the lawyer that got Luke Cage out of jail, but the 2nd episode was much better.

I finished it two days ago...good, not great. Liked the chemistry between the main four, story was a little weak. Sigourney Weaver was the least threatening villain ever. Waste of her talent, with cringe-worthy dialogue at times.

Why was so little made of the fact that Claire knew all of them? She had been involved with every main character on every series, yet it felt like they decided to gloss over that fact. Other than getting Danny and Luke together.

That is disappointing about Sigourney, but the reality is that she has always been the best as a hero, not a villain. She did essentially the same thing in Cabin in the Woods, with better results.

It was pretty good but agree with some of the above. The first episode was soooooo slow. After that it picked up. The other problem I have is that by the last episode it felt like a major rush to wrap it up.

Also, the character of the Iron Fist is by far the weakest link in the chain.

The other thing that bothered me is how much Luke and Jessica struggled with the mystical so much. The shows referenced the Avengers, Hulk and the battle for New York but had trouble with all of this? Really?

By far though the best parts were the interactions between all the heroes. Some of those scenes were great and funny. I hope we get a Season 2 of the Defenders and it should be more cohesive now that the have already worked together. Maybe bring in Punisher.

Just binge watched the series...solid show. Agree the guy from GOT is not great, but much better than solo show of TIIF.
