As a baseball fan, I enjoy watching any team do its best. Once again, however, Jim Tracy is showing why he can't compete with the big boys.

He had a set lineup which was doing very well. Then he tampered with it and it has resulted in a tailspin.

By moving Werth up to 2nd in the order, Finley is now batting 3rd, and Bradley, 6th.

Fins is a notorious streak hitter. Not hitting in the 3-4-5 heart of the batting order, he was having a great season for the D'backs, then winning games for the Dodgers.

Now he's batting 3rd and not producing. When Steve is in the heart of the batting order, he tries to be a Barry Bonds and pops up alot.

Milton Bradley was brought in to add to the heart of the batting order. Now he's batting 6th and doing very little. He's eccentric. But, when he feels needed, he's a hitter.

'Kind of like when the D'backs got Raul Mondesi (another loose cannon) last season, to bat cleanup and give sorely needed protection to Gonzo.

Brenly batted him 6th. Then 5th. Then finally cleanup.

A good Manager knows how to maximize the talents of his players. The bad ones don't have a clue.

The Dodgers are only .5 games up in the West (1 in the WC) with Penny most likely back on the DL and a series in the Bay this weekend. If the Dodgers screw this up and don't make the playoffs or get the Wild Card; Jim Tracy, DePodesta, and their owner are going to need full-time bodyguards because the Dodger faithful are going to lose it.
