Great news. ESPN2 will televise this year's upcoming draft.

I guess ESPN ran out of spelling bees and old strong man episodes to televise. It will be nice that the draft is televised, although it is a lot different than in other sports in that the time between picks is drastically shorter.

If it is on the weekend, many of us will watch it whether we admit it or not. It is our nature.

Cool! The MLB draft will never be as exciting as the other 2 big sports because baseball draftees aren't going to be playing for their teams the very next season. But you can't build a following for something if it's not on TV, so this is a start. I think the next step would be letting teams trade draft picks.

Hopefully this will also raise the profile of college baseball.
