The early good news

Two players early on who seem to be showing significant signs of improvement in Bowles defense are OLB Alex Okafor and DB Justin Bethel.

Okafor seems to e in excellent condition and is showing himself to be a everydown OLB with excellent speed and tackling. This is especially good since we are lacking in starting caliber LB talent.

Bethel has made life difficult for the QB and Receiving corp for the Cardinals. While he was drafted primarily as a special teams ace, he is showing his game smarts and coverage skills. He will be a good fill in if HB isn't ready for the season opener.

I am looking for big things from both of them this year. This will be Okafor's first year to make a splash. I hope he stays healthy, because he can provide the edge speed that we have been longing for, (and that nobody wants to give our scouts credit for drafting). BA seems to be very high on Bethel, and if he is right, our secondary suddenly gets very good, VERY deep. I like that a lot.

Wrong, I do not think we are lacking in starting caliber LBs at all... but we are lacking at the moment for elite playmakers at the position

I really liked the Okafor pick. I hated that he got hurt last year. I thought he would have shined by the the end of the year. He should get some time in the rotation soon. I see him as a starter for us in 2015.
