You had me until Jim Rome. I won't do a preset on my radio for fear I'll accidentally punch him up at some point, and won't be able to reach out and punch him in the face. I'm not sure what's worse - him or his "clones" that call in screaming with their stupid "takes". Yeccccch.

I'm not familiar with him, and I'm all for hearing some "new" (to me at least in this case) local talent. Anything's better than hearing that gasbag Gambo shilling for his plumber or mortgage broker, or (gasp) Pei Wei. Or bragging about his "beautiful wife", who is his daughter's age and looks like a collie.

He's a UA guy and Vinny is ASU. It was good radio.

Bick and Marotta have great chemistry and do a great job. I don't mind Burns & Gambo but they're on for so long it gets repetitive.

i just listen to the podcast. That way I can just skip over the repetitive stuff.

Yep. I will never listen to this station. Rome is that awful.

I was wondering the same thing. That Bauer is also the "Mike" shill for the Dbacks that roves around at home games and is one of the "hosts" along with Vanessa.

As nice as it is to have some listening variety, KTAR pretty much has a strangle hold on the metro area.

They also seem to be pulling Roc and Manuch from 1060. Will be interesting to see how things all shake out considering how much KMVP-FM has a stranglehold on the market. In the last quarter of 2016, they averaged around a 3.0 rating where there closest competitor KGME was at a 0.7. Being on FM could make a real difference though, depending on how strong the signal is.

I kinda like Bob Kemp's show, at least it has a local focus.. and Roc & Manuch is ok. Apparently they are moving to the new station.

Anything is better than Gambo and his collie.

Surprised there's so much hate for 98.7. I think they are all pretty good for the most part, maybe just a little homerish at times. bickley and moratta IMO are the best

The only part I don't like is the constant shilling for sponsors. I agree that B & M are good, and even Gambo is OK when he's actually talking about sports. I wish we had more local content and less national stuff.

I don't like them because they talk so little actual sports.

When you tune in and they spend the first 5 minutes talking about Wolf's Testosterone level, or Bickley's band, or Gambo "hot wife" it gets old quick.

I listen to music. Classic Rewind, Classic Vinyl, Lithium, etc. Much less stressful & you don't hear idiots like Rome who think they know it all.
