been seeing previews for this one... pretty certain its a remake but I cant remember the original specifically.
what strikes me the most about this one is Jackie Chan.
not the Jackie Chan we all know and love with his lucky/goofy/badass fighting... but Jackie Chan in a totally serious action film. This intrigues me. I have seen him do a few movies that were more serious but his fighting skills were not really center stage in the movies. This one is a straight up action film along the lines of "Taken" from what I have seen.

Looks fun. The uninjurable old guy beating 50 guys asses theme is wearing thin though.
If it's not Liam Neeson or Keanu Reeves, it's Denzel Washington or Pierce Brosnan.
Jackie Chan, all the Expendables, etc etc.

Yeah, this is my problem. Do I want to go see it just to see Jackie Chan go dark? That's intriguing, but it's been done soooooooooooo much. What more can this movie bring to the table?

I liked it too. Although funny enough, the movie could have come to the same conclusion had Jackie Chan and his character not been in it.

Other than that, it was more dramatic and the politics were really interesting and not what I expected. The writing wasn't perfect, but it was pretty tight for an action movie. There were decent resolutions all around, no loose threads.

Like Raiders of the Lost Ark without Harrison Ford and his character? ;)
