It was late third quarter, we were close-ish and on defense. Some douchehats behind us were yelling at me to sit down. Yes, assfaces from Pittsburgh were telling me to sit down in my own stadium, yelling on defense for MY home team.

So I turn and start yelling back at them, doing the old KOC trick of finding some cards fans in the crowd, pointing at them and telling them to get up and yell. The steeler fans start going ******* on me. So I start getting them to yell louder. They start screaming...waving their towels and acting ridiculous. I pump my arms to get them to give it more volume. THEY DO. Slowly, after a minute or so, it trickles through the group that they are yelling their asses off and adding to our noise for the defense. They slowly stop yelling, save one total ******* who still doesn't get it.

There was one young Steeler dude though, who saw what was going on from jump and was smirking at me.

So here I was, having a section of Steeler fans losing their crap yelling while their team was on offense, all because they wanted me to sit down and be quiet. Priceless.

Of course, the Steelers marched downfield and scored...but hey, little victories, right?

Judging by the ridiculously bad crop of fair weather Steelers fans at the game, they didn't need much help. There were more yellow towels waving and screaming going on when the Steelers were on offense than when they were on defense!

I asked a few Steelers' fans which part of Pennsylvania they were from. Best answer was a guy I talked with while we waited outside in the line for security. He said "Los Angeles." :D

So did the dude next to me..he was flabbergasted by several people he knew as Cards fans that were wearing Steelers gear in the stands.

Freaking stupid day.

How about the odd combinations out there today? Saw plenty of fans with Steelers' jerseys and Diamondbacks' hats. Steelers' jerseys and Coyotes' hats. A few with something Cardinals and something Steelers on. More than a few "House Divided" couples with a husband and wife each wearing a different jersey (example - husband in Black and Yellow, wife in Red). Saw plenty of regulars who abandoned their Cards' gear for Steelers' gear. Won't ever look at them the same way in the future.

I have never came close to giving up in all my years, I was today. I felt like Braveheart after the future king betrayed him....

One of the regulars right in front of me showed up in his Steelers jersey. I quietly sat there and gave him the finger behind his back all game. :D

IMO Until ownership feels like taking the money paid for tickets by the opposition and stuffing it up their backside while burning the ticket in front of their horrified faces nothing will change.

I seem to remember this team used to encourage cowboy fans to come to the game.

That tells you all you need to know about why we suck, money rules all.

As UofP slowly turns into SDS we will need to channel KOC a lot more.

Soon....Phoenix stadium will be the nicest Concert arena in the country. Add in a few big Monster Truck rallys and some WWE pay per views. The city will have a beautiful 4H place too.

Oh and some times football may be played there on Sundays.

I'd give away the rest of my Cards tickets this year for a UFC PPV there!! :)

Wait until the Cards host Dallas after Arizona spends 3 straight weeks on the road. That's going to be real ugly.

I know. Bittersweet...

It was kind of awesome to go back to that well, and do the eye lock and the nod and the "get the ef up" and see a fan respond. It was like he was there...that was one of the best times at games I remember, when I'd look back and see him and he'd smile and nod at me and start pointing.

It sucks that we suck so bad that we have to resort to those old tricks, but nice to think back on when Tim was running **** at the stadium.

The Steelers fans around me were so stupid. They all yelled more when the Cards were on defense than the other way around.

Of course, that stupidity was topped by the number of Cards fans wearing their black jersies. I saw hundreds in black. Stupid jackwagons!

They may have worn black so they wouldn't stand out as a Cards' fan.
