I just had to come to the boards and vent about this gang. I've been listening to sports radio all week here as I usually enjoy doing after an eagle loss, and it just burns me up to hear these miscreants continually bash Donovan McNabb. Now everyone knows how much I hate the eagles, and I'll be the first to tell you he has had a flat out awful year, and has probably hurt the team in both playing while injured and mis-handling the T.O. situation. Andy Reid's decision making hasn't helped either. But to slam him like they are doing here and call for a replacement at the position is just plan stupid. All they've been saying is "We'll never win a Super Bowl with Donovan". Well you won't win one any time soon without him either. You have one of the top qb's in the game and a definite franchise player at the position, and you want to give that up??!! For who?? Mike McMahon?? Or maybe you'd like to trot Brad Johnson, or Gus Ferottre in here next year. How'd that A.J. Feeley thing work out?? He was supposed to be the better qb when he was here, right? I'll tell you what. Try being a Cardinal fan and seeing what it's like to damn near have a new qb under center every year! You have continuity at the most important position on the field, yet because he's had a bad season, all of a sudden he's a bum. For all of their passion for their team, eagles fans number as some of the dumbest fans football wise in the league. Maybe all those 6am Vet Stadium tailgate parties are starting to affect their brains. Idiots!

Maybe we can talk them into a trade for McCown... say McCown and Bryant Johnson for Mcnabb? ;)

I hope McNabb does get run out of Philly. Probably the best thing that could happen to him.

Obviously, I'd like to have him here, but for his sake I'd just like to see him anywhere else. McNabb in Chicago? Oh, man. That'd make that team really dangerous, really fast. (McNabb is a Chicago native, too).

That'd be something Pariah. He would be revered in Chicago.

I would even up the ante and throw in our 2nd rounder in there!

Problem is they love both Grossman and Orton and I doubt they would want to ante up what it will take to get McNabb. Personally I would throw in Grossman and some picks and grab him. Orton will be a very good QB in this league...

I don't agree

that he mishandled the OWME thing. Owens has been dishing it out to McNabb since he got there. DM called OWME right on time. Said the PC things to say about OWME's talents, but said the TEAM is better off without him!
Hell. Randy Moss said NO to ME-O!
AS for their fans, are we any different?

Weren't the Eagles fans also cheering when Michael Irvin went down with what, at the time, appeared to be a possible career ending neck injury? I mean, I'm not a big Michael Irvin fan but that's bogus to hope a player has a career ending injury.

That's what I mean jstadvl, Owens was dishing it out, and I think if McNabb had stepped to him to squash the beef, not fight, then he would probably still be on the team. Donovan may have took too high a road, and lost some of his teamates in the process. And as for us as fans vs. them? It's not even close. eagles fans are literally the scum of the earth. I mean that to my every existence as a man bro. I love this city and respect their passion for the eagles (much as I am in to the 76ers, Flyers, and Phils) it's just that the football fans in this city are of a different ilk. Not all of course, but the majority are scumbags. We love our team too, but not enough to hurl racial epitaphs and 22 oz beers at opposing fans. At least I pray you guys aren't that way! :p It's been a minute since I've been to AZ!

I have always admired McNabb both as a player and person. Sure would like a guy like that on my team.

It is hard for me to imagine that fans would boo a guy like this. With his injuries he was out there giving it his all. I doubt most QB's would try to play with his injuries. You could see him grimice even when he threw the ball. One of the better QB's of the decade. The team will go nowhere without him which points out just how valuable a QB can be.

Just hope he does not show up in our division unless it is with us.

In Arizona? Are you kidding me! Thats the place that boo'd a new Qb before his second snap! That shattered any booing record philly ever held. Also beat the record for most ridiculous.
