Another week, another record. A Tom Brady rookie card just sold for $400,100 on eBay, the highest price in history for a football card. Only 100 of the cards were produced — with only two receiving a grade nine, or mint, from Beckett Grading Services. I reached out to Bren Huigens, PWCC's CEO. He told me that if you had the foresight to believe in Brady 10 years ago, you would have paid about $10,000. Five years ago, the card would have set you back $50,000. In either case, you would have enjoyed a healthy return on your investment. With Brady showing no signs of slowing down and more Super Bowl championships probably on the horizon, his remarkable rookie may have much more room to climb.
