The Detroit Lions added another offensive piece on Friday evening. Per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are signing former New York Jets tight end Kenny Yeboah.
Yeboah, 26, has spent his entire four-year career with the Jets. Primarily a blocking tight end when he plays on offense, the 254-pounder has been a fixture on New York's special teams throughout his time with the Jets.
In 2024, Yeboah played in nine games, catching five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. He missed the first six weeks on injured reserve with a groin injury suffered in New York's preseason finale. Yeboah also spent time on I.R. in 2023 with a hamstring issue.
Yeboah has nine career catches for 111 yards in 309 career offensive snaps. Contract details are not yet available.
