Lennard Longhorns held the top spot in the USA TODAY Sports girls flag football Super 25, adding one more win to the resume as the Florida postseason moves along in April.

The top 12 followed the trend, setting up the first week around the high school flag football landscape where the top half didn't encounter a massive shift.

Making a run up the hierarchy, New York had its first flag football team crack the top 25 this week, while two more talented squads from the Sunshine State also ascended into the national rankings.

Super 25 flag football selection process

In partnership with the NFL, the teams are determined by a USA TODAY Network selection committee of editors and writers in the participating states and the USA TODAY High School Sports staff.

The process considers factors ranging from last year's results based on NFHS Network data, carryover into this season, and a primary focus on 2024 records and overall performance.
