Except the Cardinals never won anything. It seems they are just content with selling off their team and playing with the minimum talent. Seriously, I said this before but I believe this team is setting themselves up for the opening of the stadium;

They may sign a couple of second-tier free agents but only spend the minimum 90% of the salary cap required by the NFL. Play for the overall first pick in next years draft and set themselves up for the opening of the new stadium.....Hell Graves has eluded to the fact that 'it takes time ' to turn this around. I think they are playing for 2004

McGinnis was probably guarnateed another year after this so as to not be left holding the bag.

I believe this even more now after the events of the last couple of days.....it is going to be a long season!

Judging from the occupancy of SDS, I'd say we are more like the Expos....

O Canada, terre de nos aïeux,

Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux.

Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,

Il sait porter la croix.

Ton histoire est une épopée

Des plus brillants exploits.

Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,

Protégera nos foyers et nos droits

Yeah, it would have to be the Expos. Remember, the Marlins went nuts one one year, signed every decent player they could, actually WON the World Series, and then dumped everyone before the owner sold the team.

No, it really is more like the Expos, except for the fact that the Cardinals won't be playing a portion of their home schedule in Puerto Rico in the coming season.
