Why do people put any stock, good or bad, on pre-season performances?

If Trubisky or Watson were on the Cardinals, as fans we'd be going crazy. I thought, for a first game, both QB's gave their fans plenty of hope. If the Bears finish with the worst record, and I'm sure they won't be worse than the Jets, they won't select a QB. At least, if last night was any indication.

I watched some of this game last night and even if the WRs were wide open he still had to deliver the ball and I thought he did that pretty nicely. I seem to remember a guy we had whose nickname was "Scud" who would miss wide open receivers.

90% of people are going freaking nuts over Blaine Gabbert.. can't imagine if we drafted a QB.. there would be daily polls on if he should start over palmer.

Some pundits are picking the 49ers to win 6 or more games this year. Have they failed to notice who their QBs are?? Hoyer, Barkley, & rookie Beathard??!! Another 2-14 season on tap. Might have won 4 with the upgrade at GM & HC, but they're both rookies, and Jed & Paraag still running the show, and that's good for 12 losses right there.
