The Bears would have beaten the Falcons if Kenny Britt didn't drop an easy pass right to his numbers at the pylon in the waning seconds. Had that TD occurred as it should have, the jury on Glennon would be undecided. I think every young QB deserves a grace period of several games in a new system and Glennon played well enough to win versus the Falcons, which says a lot, imo.. He clearly had his struggles versus Tampa Bay, but he still passed for over 300 yards versus a Tampa Bay's defense that is pretty dang good.

Never forget that Steve Keim loves this kid.

Do you know that for sure?

Keim would know MG well as both are NC State Wolfpack alums. But, has Keim ever indicated that he loves Glennon?

Has he tampered by saying it in the press? No. But Glennon and Keim's names have been connected since he was drafted, once Tampa drafted Jamison, last season, and this offseason.

Rough start for Glennon, but I wouldn't put the last 2 turnovers solely on him. The 1st was an early & low snap at his knee when he wasn't ready. On the INT, he overthrew the receiver, but it looked like the receiver cut off his route or ran the wrong route.

The 1st fumble was on him... he held the ball too long & didn't throw it away... he's got to react faster when they blitz 6. Some hot read or dump off should be open.

Proof, or just fake news?

Because everything coaches or GMs say during draft time is gospel. Also anything the media makes up or says is also true.

What we know is they have some problem s evaluating qb's
The only one they drafted was logan Thomas
A tigh end
I think is difficult doing worse

Glennon is a lame duck. It's happened to him twice, in TB and now CHI. This time at least he gets $18.5M in guaranteed money. Man, he looked slow to react last night. And even if he has some success, with any turnover or bad throw the fans are going to want Trubisky. There's no sense delaying the inevitable. They should turn to Trubisky asap.

It would be surprising if the Cardinals were interested in Glennon. This time around they should be more interested in building around a more mobile, athletic QB.

There are several on this board who "were" in love with him as well. As we all know it's not an exact science, if it were or if it was easy everyone would have a good QB. You point to Logan Thomas, and I would say that BASK knew it was a long shot but worth the fourth round gamble. So I would say the Logan Thomas means anything more then it did.

It would have been interesting had Watson been available at #13. I think Steve Keim would have taken him there. Keim observed Watson up close during the bowl weeks and had many discussions with Dabo Swinney.

I don't think they would have taken Watson at all, or any of the QBs if they where there and there is a very logical explanation. QB is the most coveted position, the most important position and the Cardinals are on borrowed time sitting within striking distance at thirteen. There is no way in hell if they where serious about a QB (and you have to be to take one in the first round, you have to be totally committed) would they have waited for them to fall in their lap at 13 but clearly would have moved up to take him. That stuff about waiting to see if he is there at the QB position only pertains to round two or three when your team is staked with talent and you know for sure your current QB has at least two more years in my opinion

Some pundits are picking the 49ers to win 6 or more games this year. Have they failed to notice who their QBs are?? Hoyer, Barkley, & rookie Beathard??!! Another 2-14 season on tap. Might have won 4 with the upgrade at GM & HC, but they're both rookies, and Jed & Paraag still running the show, and that's good for 12 losses right there.
And with our luck, one of them will be against us.

Not arguing that the 49ers will win 6 games but... Hoyer was 10-6 as a starter for Cleveland, split between two seasons when the Browns went 11-21 overall. The Browns other QBs went 1-15 during those same two seasons. If the 49ers don't win 6 games this season, it won't be Hoyer's fault.
