Trudy Kockenlocker, a small-town girl with a soft spot for American soldiers, wakes up the morning after a wild farewell party for the troops to find that she married someone she can't remember--and she's pregnant. Norval Jones, the 4-F local boy who's been in love with Trudy for years, tries to help her find a way out of her predicament. Trudy complicates matters further by falling for Norval, and events snowball from there. Written by James Meek {[email protected]}

I just watched it. What a crazy movie, it was really really funny. I loved their last name, Kockenlocker. It seems like they said it a hundred times.
It was nominated for best screenplay in 1945.
When the film was released, it was such a huge hit, it was literally standing room only for many performances.
Premiere voted this movie as one of "The 50 Greatest Comedies Of All Time" in 2006.
In 2001 the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.
