Again..these dont necessarily reflect my top-10 faves, but albums which I would consider being the most influential from this decade and in no particular order..

1) "Revolver/Sgt. Pepper" - the Beatles (enough has been said about those 2 albums, but I consider "Revolver" more superior)....

2) "Pet Sounds" - the Beach Boys (probably still one of the most underrated album from its era... if there was no "Pet Sounds", there would have never been any Psychadelia)....

3) I would have to say anything done by the Who in the 60s... they somewhat established what became Punk a decade later with most of the tracks on "Who Sing My Generation", art/mod rock on both "Quick One" and "Who Sell Out", and of course "Tommy" being one of the first rock operas.......

4) "The Village Green Preservation Society" - the Kinks (many Britpop bands whether it be from the 80s to now would cite this album as the "father" of their movement.... just the lyircs and how they convey such political overtones....how effectively the characters in each song are portrayed so effectively that each word is really 1000 words)...

5) "Bringing It All Back Home" - Bob Dylan (he goes electric here, but still maintains his folk roots... just with a heavier..more defining sound than before without compromising his craft)....

6) "Fresh Cream" - Cream (several may say.. "Disraeil Gears", but they became too psycadelic on that album diverting away from their strength... "Fresh Cream" is where they were one of the first..if not the first to blend Blues and Metal with quite authority).....

7) "Led Zeppelin"/Led Zeppelin II" - (say hello to Metal that possessed several dimenions to it as well)....

8) "Are You Experienced?"/"Axis: Bold as Love" - Jimi Hendrix (no one has since captured the beauty of blues, soul, and psychadelia all throughout an entire album..in this case 2... and no one will probably be able to ever again)....

9) "Forever Changes" - Love (probably the least known that I have listed in this thread, but if listened to today..you'll realize the eventual impact it had since it's initial release in '67)....

10) "Mr. Fantasy" - Traffic (one that will be debated as to why this was included and a few other albums werent.. but listen to it now and you'll realize how ahead of its time it was... just the diverse sound (especially with the wide-assortment of instruments that they employed) and some of the most amazing vocals ever recorded)....
