Hanks makes a deal with ***********

Tom Hanks' Playtone and Universal Pictures have closed a deal that will give them the rights to the story of ***********.

The studio and production company signed a deal with W. Mark Felt, the retired FBI worker who was recently revealed as the inside source that gave information to Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein as they broke the story of the Watergate scandal.

In addition to their deal with Felt, the studio also bought the rights to the Vanity Fair article that revealed Felt's truth, written by John O'Connor. A book deal will be forthcoming as well. As for Bob Woodward, he's writing his own book about his relationship with Felt, but is not involved in this particular movie deal.
