Eighteen former Kentucky basketball players are scheduled to compete in the 2025 NBA Playoffs, which begin tonight.
UK has the most former players in the postseason. Louisville basketball has two former players in the playoffs. Donovan Mitchell helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Eastern Conference's top seed.
Former Wildcat Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder to the No. 1 overall seed in the league, and they will have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.
Gilgeous-Alexander finished the season as the NBA's scoring leader, averaging 32.7 points per game. He is also the favorite to win league MVP.
The NBA playoffs start today with two play-in games featuring four teams: the Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies.
