Less than a week after revealing the compensatory selections awarded to teams for the 2025 NFL Draft, the league has changed its mind on a handful of the late-round comp picks. Trash those seventh-round mock projections, because the NFL decided to mix it up at the end.

Per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the league has adjusted a few of the final compensatory picks. The New Orleans Saints have taken over the comp pick previously assigned to the Miami Dolphins. It's not clear which of Miami's two seventh-round comp picks is being taken away; Miami holds No. 253 and No. 256.

However, the greater context indicates that it's pick No. 256 that is moving from Miami to New Orleans. It's also not going to be No. 256, according to Pelissero's report. The picks at 254 and 255 are moving down a spot, with the Saints pick inserted above those picks — currently held by the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers.

That would morph the compensatory picks at the bottom of the seventh round into looking like this:

249 - San Francisco 49ers250 - Green Bay Packers251 - Kansas City Chiefs252 - San Francisco 49ers253 - Miami Dolphins254 - New Orleans Saints255 - Cleveland Browns256 - Los Angeles Chargers257 - Kansas City Chiefs

The NFL Management Council has informed clubs of a recalculation to the 2025 compensatory picks, awarding the #Saints a seventh-round selection, removing a seventh from the #Dolphins and sliding back the #Browns and #Chargers sevenths by one pick.
