After rebounding from a four-game losing streak to win two games in a row, the Los Angeles Lakers face a tough set of back-to-back games against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday and the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. In particular, the game against the Nuggets will be big, and it will likely play a large role in where both teams end the season in terms of playoff seeding.
The Lakers are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 42-25 record, while the Nuggets hold third place at 44-25. A win would move the Lakers ahead of Denver in the standings and end the season series versus Denver tied at two victories apiece.
Denver was without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Christian Braun on Monday when it got past the Golden State Warriors, 114-105. All three men are listed as questionable for Wednesday's contest at Crypto.com Arena.
The Nuggets have been struggling lately, but they remain one of the NBA's top offensive teams. Meanwhile, the Lakers' defense, which yielded 131 points to the Nuggets this past Friday, has returned to form in their last two games by giving up a total of 215 points to the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs.
