Well I ooop! We were told this. The paper told us this. The first games hinted it wasn't true.

This defense is BALLING tf out. With more talent it is a top 5 unit. Rallis is the guy we should be worried about being snatched away.

The offense is discombobulated, inconsistent, scared, and soft. You all know where I put that blame, this isn't about that.

When we draft and FA next year, what do we attack? I still want edge and DT, but we need a WR that can complement MHJ and Trey, and as much as I love him, MW isn't that guy. I feel like the offense is a piece away, and the defense is so well coached a piece or two makes them elite.

Hell, even SMB was everywhere today, and I hate that guy.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this too- what pieces are needed to make this offense click consistently.

You take Kyler/petzing debate out of this (lord knows we don’t need another thread going back and forth on this), I do not think our offensive line is going to get much better than what we have right now. TE position is a luxury that most teams don’t have.

We really need another WR threat. Wilson isn’t bad, but he’s a possession wr, not a burner. His catches are great, but when was the last time we saw Wilson make a catch where a corner wasn’t 1-2 ft away from him?

Dortch? Next please - despite all that pre season hype he has been a total non factor.

It’s amazing how the wr room transformed from all these shifty little WR- to much slower taller ones that now can’t stretch the field. Would be awesome to get one more dude that can stretch the field (honesty - almost Hollywood brown like)

Let's be realistic about this offense. We've given it all the pieces it needs to be a top offense. We all know what the problem is, player wise. The D badly needs reinforcements, so the offense can just try to figure it out with the inconsistent QB play.

I think we need better WRs or better play from them. They aren't open enough
I mean...sure, but it isn't a high volume pass offense to WRs. The WR coaching seems a bit lacking. There are nuances that aren't being drilled home. Obviously calling certain plays to get the ball to specific players early and throughout the game probably needs to be a focus. QB play needs to be better. Low volume pass offenses have to be efficient.

It's not a single unit or player thing.

We need to be better in the middle of the line. Either the guards we have need to improve or we need to go get at least one. If Hernandez comes back that’s a start but I don’t know that you can rely on him lasting all year.

This would probably be the best use of cap dollars for the offense.
