He’ll likely leave for a more high profile job after the season, but don’t see him getting fired. Injuries did the club in this year and the board didn’t back RDZ in bringing in more reinforcements in January.Roma! Roma! Roma!
Fire De Zerbi!
Yeah, the season ended in Rome. Pretty much no chance of getting back to Europe. Haven’t seen news on Estupian’s injury too, but heard it didn’t look good. Injuries derailed the season.
I only caught a few minutes but I did see that. Complete non-contact injury. Not good.Yeah, the season ended in Rome. Pretty much no chance of getting back to Europe. Haven’t seen news on Estupian’s injury too, but heard it didn’t look good. Injuries derailed the season.
It was initially thought to be Achilles, but they are saying ankle. So hopefully not as bad.I only caught a few minutes but I did see that. Complete non-contact injury. Not good.
Is it fair? Was the problem that they sold--Caicedo, was it?--and then didn't use the money well? Were his tactics bad?De Zerbi out
It is more him wanting to leave and the two just mutually deciding not to have a prolonged cloud hanging over everything after the season. He was frustrated the team didn’t invest more after selling all those players, and the guys they did bring in flopped (Dahoud, Ansu Fati loan) - which culminated in injury crisis this year.Is it fair? I don’t know much about him, but trust or track record on finding guys. Right now the biggest question marks are if we can get Gross to stay and convince Undav to come back and not go to Germany permanently.Hey @gmabel830, congrats on a great signing. I think Minteh is going to be nails for yinz. He didn't want to leave, and I sure didn't want to sell him (or Anderson), but PSR needs must.
Just when I thought Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse was the worst name of all time, along comes Brighton and Hove Albion.
At least it’s not the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
It's nice that somebody isBrighton splashing some serious coin this transfer window. Doesn’t always work out for the best, but got to trust our track record and we are betting big on young and talented players who fit the new coach’s system.
Meanwhile, we made a profitO’Reily needs ankle surgery and we sold Gilmour to Napoli on deadline day. Worried about the depth at midfield, but it was our biggest window ever by far and nice to see us spending all that transfer money we accrued.
