I like Reno911 a lot. My tivo used to tape the episodes for me and I would watch it when I get home from work usually around 9pm these days :(.

It hasn't taped them in a while, is the show not on much anymore?

I think a lot of the show is actually ad libbed.

Best episode so far is when they have the scavenger hunt to win tickets to the execution.

My favorite episode was when they do the sting operation in motel to bust prostitutes. The male officer who's working as the "john" ends up falling for one of the prostitutes and convinces the rest of the crew that she's not a hooker, then tries to borrow $350 from his partner. Great stuff.

The show moved from Wednesday nights to Monday nights - might want to check your Tivo recording schedule.

Also - the other reason it may not be recording is that the season finished about 3 weeks ago so everything all the episodes right now are repeats.

Hilarious show though. Right after Monk this is my favorite comedy show.

Also love to watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

They do that sting thing all the time with the prostitutes, but usually with someone else in the room each time as the "john" or "jane".

They probably taped like 4 different versions with different people in the room and then put them on different episodes.

There is one when the officer realizes that she used to babysit one of the guys that has propositioned her. its pretty good.

I haven't seen a bad episode yet - they've all been hilarious.

However, my favorite one so far was when officer Jones was suspended and he had to work as a crossing guard. The Lt. was out getting his hair done at a salon before he went to see him - hilarous.

Ok, what is this Tivo machine? I am pretty "gadget" inclined, but I haven't really heard about this yet. Expensive?

A lot of the guys on Reno911 used to be on The State--a sketch comedy show on MTV from the early 90s. Now that show was F'n funny!

This show reminds me a lot of Night Shift. The old fake talk show that had Timothy Stack in it. Does anyone remember that?? OMG that show used to have me doubled over on the ground! I love Reno 911 too. That show is incredibly funny!

Reno 911! Headed for the Big Screen
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
January 5, 2006

The creators of Comedy Central's Reno 911! are taking their cop spoof to the big screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures will co-produce Reno 911!: Miami, which will be directed by the TV series' co-creator, Robert Ben Garant.

The film is described as an improvisational-based project that will follow a script written by Garant and fellow series co-creators Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney.

Reno 911!: Miami, which starts shooting Jan. 23 in Miami and Los Angeles, finds the officers visiting a national police convention in Miami Beach at the height of spring break. When the convention center is bio-attacked, it's up to Reno's "finest" to save the day.

My favorite episode was when Daigle's presumed son came to visit. Also the one where the Mr. Rodgers type tv star was following them around. When Junior dropped the cat into the Air conditioner and the tv guy freaked out it was hilarious. A movie would be wonderful. This show is a breath of fresh air.

I wish this show was actually filmed in Reno. I would love to run into these guys around town.

And yes if you didn't know it is filmed in L.A., there are no Palm trees in Reno.
