Graves setting the expectations already that

1. the new coach will not have any authority or say (even in picking his assistants)

2. Big will walk instead of being franchised

3. Cards will fail miserably in FA as it is going to be ultra competitive this year with lots of teams with cap room

4. The draft....well do something idiotic in desperation to get a LT

You are correct. If thats what you pick to happen then  I honestly read your statement as though it was FACT. My Bad. Predict away.

Yes I actually do believe we will be rather successful in FA even with the all the competition. I think we will make a good hire at coach. I also think that while we may overpay we have the most cap room available and we have the coint to sway a player here.

I agree free agency is going to be tough this year. Teams are managing their cap much better and the cap is jumping up a good chunk this year. It is imperitive they attack early in the process and as usual overspend to get the guys that they target.

No worries bro. I just have very little confidence in Graves and "the family" Doing some soul searching, I think that is a lot of the reason why I wanted DG to succeed here. I felt if they handed a lot of decisions over to him and hired him as a strong HC, who has won before, maybe we couldbreak this cycle of Bidwilliasm.

Alas, I was wrong about green. And I hope I am wrong about Graves....I just have zero confidence in him.

1. The Cardinals not firing Rod Graves is the biggest mistake of the offseason

2. Leonard Davis will be tagged this offseason. Will play for the Cardinals next season, and will be beat out for a starting position by week 6.

3. The Cardinals will NOT draft Joe Thomas, but will draft another OT and he will be better than Thomas, and Davis.

4. The Cardinals will finish 6-10 in 2007.

5. Karlos Dansby will be Defensive player of the year next year.

6. The Cardinals will haunt my dreams, and stalk me by day until I finally go mad.

7. I will still hate the Cowboys just a little more than I hate the Seahawks.

this is where i stand

i want cam cameron as the cardinals next head coach
i wouldn't be disappointed if mora jr. or sherman is hired.
i with d-dog on not bad mouthing the next head coach until he messes up.

as far as the draft is concern

gaines adam and micheal bush. if the cardinals draft those two guys then i will be a happy man.

fa.

i believe the cardinals should address the cb position in fa. i believe francisco is good enough to play the fs position. all i saw this guy do is make plays for the cardinals.

if keith traylor is avaible in fa this off season then sign him.

over all i just want the cardinals to win. so i really don't care who they hire, sign, or draft as long as the cardinals win.

-Rod Graves is a kind and gentle man.
-The cards will have the most money in cap space to start the season.
-Graves will say there just was not enough FA's out there to make a difference.
-The new coach will not get all the support he needs from the ownership to put the best possible product on the field. Graves will be the roadblock as he will always side with ownership.
-The number 5 pick in the draft will get to TC at least a week late but most likely 2 weeks late.
-Graves is so friendly with everyone at TC. He is very approachable to the fans. He even gives nidan a piggyback ride across the practice field when he stumps his toe.
-The cards will win a few preseason games and the koolaiders will predict a trip to the superbowl
-the cards will go 6-10 on the season.
-All of the koolaiders will proclaim that Graves made great improvements and the cards are just a few players away.
-Graves will assure all fans that the cards turly are doing everything they possibly can to put a winning product on the field. He will say once again that the cards are just a few players away from winning.
-wash, rinse, repeat

I was all excited about next year until Graqves said that he will have the final authority/say. That scares me and I think that will put off a lot of candidates and we will get a pushover who wont stand up to the front office. I also think letting LD go is a big mistake. Graves has done well in the last three drafts with input from Denny/MB. I hope he lets the new coach have a say as well, but again I think we will "settle" for an inferior coach, who will not be able to attract FA's. We will have a terrible draft, worse offseason and be 6-10 next year. Unless we get Whisenhunt, Rivera, or Cameron. All three are unlikely. Caldwell or Chow is our next head coach for the next three years.

My Stance:

Legs shoulder width apart, right toes canted to the ground at an angle best described as "jaunty".

Arms cocked at right angles with balled hands resting lightly on the top of my belt.

Chin up, smiling, eyes burning with madness as I stare into the promise that is another season, laying broken, washed upon the rocks.

That Ladies and Lords, is a stance.

Teams are already calling Graves and asking him if he will switch first round picks with them for a fourth rounder

Don't you think that there's a certain symmetry to our VP of football operations being named Graves?

I don't think college coaches can be successful in today's NFL without being coordinators first.

This team needs direction on the defensive side of the ball, so I vote for a defensive minded coach. Retaining Clancy, unless he's moved to LB coach or something, was a mistake. Extending Graves was a mistake. Letting Big go would be a mistake. In the draft I think we draft defense, someone will move up the board.

1) The Cards will hire a new coach abd the koolaid will flow. It will be an offensive minded coach and Clancy will stay.

2) The Cards will have a good draft, mainy because of the calibre of the draft class. They will draft for need.

3) BIG will be franchised and no one will be willing to trade for him.

4) The Cards will draft an receiver higher than expected.

5) Edge will be the only RB left from this years roster.

6) A DE will be drafted higher than expected and wil take playing time away from Chike and or Bert Berry.

7) John Navarre will be gone and the next coach will flirt with the idea of having only two QBs on the roster.

8) There will be a move to add skill players with speed, special teams gunners and etc.

9) Fred Wakefield and many of overacheivers will be gone.

10) The Cards will have a better record in '07 than they did in '06.
