Totally for the Phillies, and very into the WS -- how can you call yourself a baseball fan and not be? It's good caliber play.

Every time I see BJ Upton flash his talent and skill, I think about how impatient DBacks fans are with young players. It has taken a long time, much patience, and finally, an inspirational and disciplined manager to bring BJ to play at his best. (And everyone including their parents say Justin is the more talented player.)

Yeah, it wasn't fabulous, but I was happy to see her on TV.

Why do people feel like they gotta change the song? I mean, really. Isn't it just fine the way it is?

Another badly missed call by the officials. Longoria totally had J-Roll out at third.

AAAAAHHHHH! Nuff said! I am so happy that the Phils have taken the sting off of todays Cards L. Nothing like a WS beatown to take your mind off of the Cards sucky finish. Tomorrow is huge in so many ways. This will be my last post until after tomorrow when hopefully I'll be hammered and incoherent.

Ryan Howard has come through. 3-for-4 with 2 HR and 5 RBI's.

And that is consistent with the media markets. North Jersey gets its news and entertainment primarily from the New York media and is considered part of the NY Metropolitan area.

South Jersey gets its from Philly as part of that metropolitan area.

Even the Giants and Jets, who play their home games in the Meadowlands (Secaucus) are called the NY Giants and the New York Jets.

And soon the NJ Nets (who began their NBA career in NJ playing their home games at the Rutgers University arena in New Brunswick) will be relocating to Brooklyn. At the end of their games, the Nets and their opponents were bussed to New York to shower.

The eleventh most populated state in the country, and it doesn't have a metropolitan area of its own. Newark? Trenton? Camden? Vineland?

Nope. It's a corridor without its own identity.

Actually proximity is more important that what state you are from back east: see ravens and redskins each have large fan bases in maryland. conneticut is divided between NY teams and the mass teams. Phoenix actually seems to have less identity than NJ back east due to the large number of transients. Packer fans, bear fans and viking fans are everywhere here, even have their own bars in phoenix. the sports fan base here is more divided than in new Jersey.

Go Phillies, one more win!

Cruddy weather you have there -- some guy was sliding into 2nd or 3rd and sent up a rooster-tail of mud!

Yeah. It was crappy. Supposed to rain all day today, too.

I think it sucks that they called it in the middle of the inning. Not cool.

Jersey Girl, my dad is from Passaic and I was born in Jamaica, NY. You couldn't ever pay me enough to get me to move back there. Both NJ and NY have beautiful areas but the crush of humanity and other negative factors are not for me anymore.

Meanwhile, there is still some slim hope for the Rays. How about those ball/strike calls on the Rays' starter last night?

the inside out calls are straightforward to measure, the low/high not so with the zone imager, I dont necessarily buy them. Did you notice that the zone imager was not used on questionable calls on hamels pitches? I'd like to see equal amounts of images for each team, not 5:1 in favor of the rays. the rain easily favored the rays small ball approach and hurt the phils hamels whos best pitch is the circle change. You just cant throw one of those with a wet ball, rays homers Carter and buck missed that entirely.

Crush of humanity made me laugh. You do know they say if it doesn't kill you, it make you stronger, lol?

Err. Tied.

LOL. Yeah. I was thinking "c'mon, guys, really?"

Am happy that Moyer got a championship. I love that old ass man! :)

Parade is Friday. I am jealous that I cannot be there. Everyone I know is going. There will be little work getting done in the Philly area that day. :D
