The 2025 NFL draft will have Georgia Bulldogs selected early and often. Three Georgia players are projected as first-round picks and 13 Bulldogs are expected to be drafted across all seven rounds.
However, only one Georgia Bulldog is attending the draft in person and that's star safety Malaki Starks. Starks, who is one of Georgia's three players that are projected to be first-round picks, will hope to hear his name called early in the draft. The NFL draft's first-round begins at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network.
Starks along with linebacker Jalon Walker and defensive end Mykel Williams are all expected to be first-round picks. Starks may have to wait a bit because most mock drafts project him to be selected in the second half of the first round, but that means he's more likely to land with an NFL team that had a winning record in 2024.
Starks will be one of 16 players attending the draft in person. Georgia defensive end Mykel Williams was previously expected to attend the event, but had a change of plans and will no longer be in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for the draft.
Starks and other Bulldogs give Georgia fans a reason to stay up late on Thursday night. The draft will be held from April 24-26 with only the first-round taking place on Thursday.
Georgia has had 17 first-round picks during the Kirby Smart era. That will change on Thursday. Ten of Georgia's 17 first-round picks during the Smart era have gone over the past three seasons. Georgia has only four losses over the last three seasons.
