in the hands of anyone other than Adam McKay, I'd say this one will go down on the awful side of Will's career, ala Kicking And Screaming/Land of The Lost/ Semi-Pro. But I've loved (Achorman, Stepbrothers) or at least liked (Talladega Nights) every Will/McKay collaboration up till this point so I'll give it a chance.

I really liked this movie. Funniest Ferrell movie since Anchorman imo and the best comedy since The Hangover.

I liked parts of Step Brothers and Talladega Nights but felt like Ferrell laid it on way to thick for much of those movies.

To each their own, but I think you're what the Germans call San Diego.
:biglaugh:

Anyways I thought it was really good. They can totally go Lethal Weapon with this turning into a franchise if they wanted to.

Saw it last night, thought it was really funny everyone in the theater was laughing pretty hard. The first hour was great but kinda felt long after that. I've gotta agree with Cheese, not quite Anchorman/Talladega/Stepbrothers but probably just a notch below. But Will Ferrel movie's seem to get better after repeat views so it still has room to grow on me.

Wow...disappointed in another WF movie....AGAIN. The movie has a few really funny parts with alot of unfunny parts. MW spent half the movie yelling and wasn't funny whatsoever.

Seriously, this movie had a great cast, good reviews and ended up just being overrated. Just an average movie with some occasional funny parts is the best I can describe it.

I would wait for the rental.

Well that seals it. I am definitely going to see it sooner rather then later now:)

Maybe for the next WF movie you can pay my way because I doubt I will want to use my money again to see one of his movies in the theaters.;)

I recently watched it. Agree with above, funny...silly...sorta dumb too. I think if you're in the right mood it would be pretty funny.
