It had a great message, but man, It WAS SO BOOOORING. Nothing special about it, just a rehash of all things peanuts. I'd like for them to jazz it up a bit for the sake of pacing.

Money grab, not the original, different animation, completely changing what the Peanuts was...I could go on. It looks like an abortion on film to me.

That's pretty much all we need to know.

Even if every review out there pretty much slams the film simply because it regurgitates all the Charlie Brown tropes we've known since the 60s. Where did your "completely changing what the Peanuts was" come from?

To call this an "abortion" is WAY over the top, even for you.

It was a solid 60 minute movie that they stretched out to 90 minutes.

Charlie Brown is Charlie Brown, not a celebrity.

it's a kid's movie. And you're making comments about "changing what Peanuts was" and different animation and how it looks like an abortion... when it's gotten pretty universal acclaim for not only being good, but staying true to the spirit of Peanuts.

People are allowed to love it, and give it acclaim. I'm allowed to think they're all 'nuts' lol Hey, you asked.

I am taking my kids tomorrow, so I'll post up my opinion after. I usually like pretty much every movie I watch. It has to be really bad in order for me to dislike a movie. I would be a horrible critic!

It's fine, Stout hates every movie you see enough to make up for it. :p :mulli:

Jk bro. Just teasin.

Saw this with the kids last weekend. Honestly I dont know what more they could have done to remain true to the original while still updating some things. They had an amazing reverence for the original, even having a couple of old style animation sequences that were really cool. (Charlie holds a piece of paper that has a picture on it that comes to life (in his imagination) and the scene is all old style peanuts animation.)

Some of the voices were totally amazing how spot on they were. I dont know how they found another kid to perfectly pull off Linus but they did it.

It was classic peanuts all the way other than the 3d animation. Lots of Snoopy fantasies... All the music was like the original, and the teachers wah, wah, wah voice made me feel very nostalgic. It was even slowly paced and borderline slow at times, just like the original Peanuts.

As remakes go, I think even Stout would agree that this is one of the better attempts.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was good. Kids loved it and it had a few funny parts. It brought back memories for me when I used to watch the Charlie Brown holiday episodes when I was a kid. I probably wouldn't watch it again, but it was a good 1 time watch
