The Perfect Storm....

Just watched it twice this weekend for the first time. What a tragic, horrible movie. I loved it. The character development was great, except for Alfred Pierre....

It was relatively well-made, but the ending was just stupid. (Not the actual event, but the aftermath--Marky Mark in the water)

You gotta consider that there is little to no record of anything that happened on the ship during that trip. Other than knowing the coordinates they were at (when he radioed the female skipper) and the direction they were travelling, that whole portion of the movie up until the funeral was fictional. The way the ship sunk, the conversations, everything was made up. They created a fantastic story of perseverance and bravery. The comaraderie they developed during that trip and the teamwork they displayed during the storm was played out beautifully. I liked the movie A LOT....
