We need more than four rounds, and a little more daylight, to finish the 2025 Players Championship.
The near-4-hour weather delay wasn't the biggest story from Sunday's final round at TPC Sawgrass. It was J.J. Spaun's birdies on 14 and 16, along with Rory McIlroy's bogey on 14, to leave both players tied at 12 under after 72 holes.
How will The Players Championship be decided now?
McIlroy and Spaun will play a three-hole, aggregate playoff on the closing three holes of the Stadium Course - 16, 17 and 18. If there remains a tie after the three holes, it will be sudden death, starting at 16.

The PGA Tour ticket policy typically does not allow for readmittance. However, fans are allowed to re-enter the course if play gets suspended. In 2022, fans with any Stadium Pass or hospitality ticket for Thursday-Sunday were granted entry Monday at no extra charge. Expect that to be the case for Sunday tickets this year.
