The Premier League teams with the most goals scored by substitutes this season
There are few things sweeter for a Premier League manager than a substitution that pays off with a goal.
Every team needs a game changers in their ranks, a player who can be sprung from the bench and reliably make an impact when match isn’t going their side’s way.
A plethora of footballers have made a name for themselves by doing just that; Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Javier Hernandez, Olivier Giroud and Tore Andre Flo to name a few.
Being able to send in the right person at the right time to make an impact is a valuable, one that Marco Silva clearly possesses. His Fulham side have scored 13 goals off the bench so far this season, the most of any top-flight side.
Right behind is Bournemouth, whose substitutes have scored 12 goals to help them compete for a place in Europe.
With Arsenal, Brighton and Nottingham Forest rounding out the top five, we see the common denominator between all these sides is that they are all in the top half of the Premier League table. It shows just how important it is to have a strong bench and squad depth to compete in the upper echelons of the division.
