The Big Unit is working on two milestones this year - 2nd overall in career strikeouts, and 300 wins.

Randy started the season 60 Strikeouts behind Rogers Clemons in the career strikeout list. He has 12 so far this year, and now sits 48K's behind the 'retired' Clemons.

Randy is sitting on 280 wins. 20 wins will be a stretch to achieve this year, but should get close.

I really hope we see Randy get 300 wins. I'm not sure we will see another one ever again, after him and Glavine.

Code:
1. Roger Clemens (44)	348 R
2. Greg Maddux (41)	335 R
3. Tom Glavine* (41)	293 L
4. Randy Johnson* (43)	280 L
5. Mike Mussina (38)	239 R
6. David Wells* (44)	231 L
7. Jamie Moyer* (44)	219 L
8. Kevin Brown (42)	211 R
9. Curt Schilling (40)	210 R
10. Kenny Rogers* (42)	207 L

He should be ahead of Clemons by the time Clemons comes back.. From then on out is anyones guess.. Is this finally gonna be Clemons last season? I hope so..

Randy Johnson is a stud. I was just looking at some stats and realized just how many more games Ryan and Clemens pitched. If he pitched as many games as Clemens, he would have over 1,110 more K's than him and Ryan pitched in about 250 more games too...lol I still hope he passes Clemens for #2 because that's mostly what people see, and he should pass him after Clemens stole the Cy Young from in a few years ago. Damn that overrated wins stat.

It's nice to see the Unit back on the mound still doing it at 43. Congrats to him for passing Clemens!!!

Now as long as Clemens stays injured Randy will stay #2.

Go groin. ;)

I think it would be great for baseball if Clemens got healthy and Randy and the Rocket competed and went back and forth on the list. Sadly, I don't think Randy will end up pitching in NY because of the rotation, but if he and Clemens had a game facing each other in NYC, that would be incredible.

I have been pleasantly surprised with the Units production. If they could only get him some more run support so he can get his 300 because he deserves it.

Watching Randy I really wonder if he has another year in him. 300 wins would be great but he struggles when he gets over 70-80 pitches.

He looked good into the 6th yesterday - even at 100+ pitches he still had the heat. As long as the Dbacks scored a few runs, he'll get there.

Jon, let's see if Randy "looks good into the 6th" come August... I would love to see him get 300, but I have serious doubts... Coupled with the fact that he essentially has to hold the opposition scoreless in order to give himself a shot at a win, well, I don't know...

Dbacks have scored 37 runs in his 9 games - averaging slightly over 4/game, which is SLIGHTLY more than scoreless...
